As a homeschooling parent of a young child, you might wonder if you’re doing the “right” things to get your child’s academic career off to a strong start.  Should she play in the sandbox today or work on sight words?  Should he paint at the easel or learn to write his name on paper?  When should he learn to read?  What if she can’t remember what the “d” says?

In this seminar, geared toward parents of children ages 3-8, you will learn about common developmental stages of young children from preschool through the early elementary years.  You’ll learn to spot signs of reading and writing readiness as well as developmental flags to pay attention to.  You’ll gain some practical ideas for developing pre-reading abilities and strengthening fine motor skills.  Most importantly, you’ll come away more confident in your child’s progression through the necessary developmental process and more prepared to enjoy the early years of homeschooling together.
