Junior Division
Students ages 12 to 14 who enroll in Deerstream’s CORE classes are part of our Junior Division.
*Students must be 12 years old by August 31 to enter our Junior Division.
They may enroll in Language Arts on Mondays, Writing on Tuesdays, Science on Wednesdays or Thursdays, and Math on Wednesdays and Thursdays (see “Junior Division at a Glance” table below).
Junior Division classes feature quality instruction, stimulating discussions, and in-class science labs―all of which prepare students for the intensified demands of high school academics. Our emphasis is on teaching students how to write well, think critically, and study effectively.
